We found a new store

Our friend Al told me about Scandinavian Designs, a contemporary furniture store, that Chad might like, so last Saturday we went to check it out. The moment we walked into the store I new Chad would not leave without spending loads of money. Of course, Chad does not carry his checkbook, so by the time we left, I wrote one of the top five biggest checks I have ever written. Chad deposited the money back into my checking account the next day; otherwise, it would have bounced higher than a ball thrown off the empire state building. Anyway, the point is, we bought lots of cool furniture for the house.

For the Master bedroom, we got this Double Dresser, High Dresser and a Tower Dresser. There is not a picture of the Tower Dresser because it is on back order. I will have to wait a month or so before it comes in.

For the formal living room Chad picked out this sofa and love seat set. The sofa is the ivory color and the love seat is charcoal.

Chad also got this mirror, although I am not sure where he plans to put it.

I really wanted to buy this cuddle chair for the loft, but it was too expensive, lucky for me, a couple days later I found the same chair for half the price at the Kacey's Fine Furniture Clearance center. I have not bought it yet, but plan to this weekend. The one I am going to get is not red, but mocha. I plan to fill it with lots of colorful pillows. With Chad wanting every room grey or black, I need color, so I am trying to make the loft as colorful as possible.

A couple weeks earlier also for the loft, I bought four new books shelves. We needed something with storage space, so the new shelve have cabinets on the bottom to hide some of our computer junk.

Last but not least, for this week anyway, is the light for the dinning room. The light that the builders installed with the house is an ugly gold glass thing that I will sell on eBay after Chad installs the new one.

Other things that happened this week; we got our security system and garage door opener installed, I picked out paint and wallpaper for the powder bathroom, and I start my next round of classes this Saturday.

Thing to do this weekend and week; shop for a dress for my sister's weddidng, buy a bridial shower book, pick up my cool cuddle chair (I hope it is still there), pick up the paint, and paint the powder bath, find out how hard it is going to be to put a railing up on the porch. (Putting up the railing is easy, but working with the HOA is not.)

Have a good week!
