Electrical

It took awhile, but the electrical is almost complete. Drywall will probably start the first week in November.

New List of Stages

Our super star realtor, Susan Harvey, got us a detailed list of stages for our house. The house is now on stage 7, which is “Ready for Rough Electric.” During this stage the gutters are installed, the basement windows are put in and the electric is roughly run. After the electrical is ran, an inspector from the city of Thornton will come in and inspect all the wiring, which leads into stage 8. After the inspection, the drywall will go in. Chad is particular looking forward to stage 13, which is when they put in his expensive kitchen cabinets and counter top.

If you, or anyone you know, need a good realtor, a link to our realtor, Susan Harvey, is in the link section of this blog (at right). And if anyone wants to build a house, make sure you use a realtor to do all the dirty work, you will regret it if you don't.

Our first walk through

Chad and I, along with his mom and step-dad, went to our first walk through of the house. The inside looks so different with all that bare wood and no drywall. It was hard to visualize where the bathroom would be, and where the stove would stand. The move in date was November, but that has been pushed out to December. Talk about a great Christmas present, not very many people get a new house for Christmas.

Update

It has been two weeks since I last updated my blog. Since most of the outside of the house is finished, nothing has changed much in the pictures, so I have not posted any new ones. This Thursday evening Chad and I are going to visit the inside of the house, so there should be new pictures posted soon. Since I wrote last, the windows and siding were completed. I believe most the work is now being done inside the house, but I am not exactly sure what they are working on since we have not been inside yet. There will be more to follow soon, so check back at the end of the week.
